Meet Dr. Luckie About Chiropractic Care Relief From Recommended Reading Office Hours

The sciatic nerve originates at the tailbone and runs down the back of your leg, through your foot, ending at your toes. There are two branches of this nerve, one for each side of your body.

Sciatica is compression of the sciatic nerve at the base of the spine, causing pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve. Pain can be experienced anywhere along the nerve's path.

Some causes of sciatic nerve compression are poor posture, pregnancy, a slipped disc in your back, being overweight, or muscle strain.

In addition to providing adjustments to the spine which relieve nerve compression, Chiropractors look at your overall environment and state of health which may be contributing to your condition, and provide treatment options that not only relieve the pain, but just as importantly, prevent recurrence.
